Box Office': 'Ice Age: Continental Drift' tops 'Spider-Man' Friday night

ice-age-continental-drift.jpgThe only new release for the weekend of July 13-15 is the one that came out on top after Friday night. "Ice Age: Continental Drift," featuring a star-studded cast doing the voices, earned the top spot with a decent $16.5 million.

"The Amazing Spider-Man" was second with $10.3 million, bringing its domestic box office total to over $175 million. The rest of the Top 5 includes "Ted" ($6.9 million) "Magic Mike" ($3.4 million) and "Brave" ($3.26 million). "Brave" has now earned over $188 million domestically.

"Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" was in ninth place after Friday, but it did notably earn just over $1 million, which pushed it past the $200 million mark domestically.
