Box Office: 'Identity Thief' No. 1, Oscar contender 'Silver Linings Playbook' hangs on in Top 10

At No. 7, "Silver Linings Playbook" is the last remaining Oscar contender hanging on to a Top 10 spot.

All in all Oscar weekend was a quiet one at the ticket booths. Universal's "Identity Thief" took in around $14 million, bringing its three-week total to $93.7 million. Lionsgate's "Snitch" brought in $13 million in its first weekend out, and The Weinstein Co.'s "Escape From Planet Earth" took in $11 million, for a total of $35 million.
