Box office: 'Iron Man 2' beats 'Robin Hood' for Friday night win
Robert Downey Jr.'s second installment of "Iron Man" grossed an estimated $15 million on Friday. That's about a 70% drop from its opening night, but enough to beat out Russell Crowe's latest period action flick. "Robin Hood" has received lukewarm reviews from critics, but it still earned a respectable $13 million, according to estimates. "Iron Man 2" will likely win the weekend.
"Letters to Juliet," starring Amanda Seyfried and Vanessa Redgraves, earned an estimated $5 million on Friday. Queen Latifah's new film, "Just Wright," grossed less than $3 million.
Warner Bros.' horror remake "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is still scaring some folks in its second week in theaters, landing in fifth place with an estimated $1.5 million.
