If the boy band One Direction can't beat "Lee Daniels' The Butler," what can? Though their 3D concert movie, "One Direction: This is Is," was leading most of the weekend, it peaked Friday, leaving an opening for "The Butler" to take the top spot at the box office once again.

Estimates for the four-day Labor Day weekend are in and, while it made $18 million, 'This is Us" was only good enough for a second place opening. "The Butler" squeezed out the victory, adding another $20 million to its total.

"Instructions Not Included" stayed strong, with $10 million on only 347 screens, while "Getaway" quietly got away, debuting at the number 9 slot.
