Brad Pitt surprises Angelina Jolie with Paris birthday dinner
People is reporting that for actor/director Jolie's birthday Tuesday (June 4), fiance Brad Pitt took his honey out for an intimate dinner in Paris after the premiere of his summer movie "World War Z."
Sources say the couple dined at Il Vino, a wine restaurant run by Enrico Bernardo where wine takes center stage (over the food, even). The website says the eatery has customers choose the wine and then the chef prepares a surprise dish that best matches the chosen wine.
That sounds amazing.
For the Pitt-Jolie dinner, the couple chose to do the restaurant's tasting menu and medley of French wines, which also sounds amazing. The main plate was langoustines, a shellfish sort of like a lobster, and a cake for dessert.
One diner, Yen Goel, tells People, "They came in very unobtrusively ... They walked by and I said to my husband, I think I just saw Brad and Angelina walk by us.' And he said, 'I think you may have had one glass of wine too many already.'"
Pitt earlier said on the red carpet for "World War Z" that the family birthday celebration will take place in the air, as they're off to Berlin for the next premiere of the movie. They were in London before Paris, where Jolie walked her first red carpet since opening up about her double mastectomy.
