Brad Womack officially the next 'Bachelor'

brad-womack-bachelor-320.jpgIt's official -- Brad Womack will get another chance at love on ABC's "The Bachelor." The announcement was made during this week's "Dancing With the Stars" performance show, where Womack was on the scene.

The almost-38-year-old entrepreneur famously chose himself instead of either finalist DeAnna Pappas or Jenni Croft during the 2007 11th season of the show. Fans were fairly outraged, so it'll be interesting to see how they react this time around. Ratings for "The Bachelor" are always strong, but will the choice of Womack cause a dip?

Interestingly, Womack has a twin brother named Chad, so perhaps after all is said and done they will both end up with "Bachelor" cast-offs and have a double wedding like the Stagliano brothers.

Production starts in just a few weeks on the show. Host Chris Harrison joked with us at the "Bachelor Pad" finale that he had "about eight hours" summer vacation between "Bachelor Pad" and starting on "The Bachelor." The 15th season of the show will debut January 2011.

What do you think, "Bachelor" fans? Shedding a tear that it's not Chris Lambton?
