"Breaking Bad" fans are slowly letting go of the show after Sunday's (Sept. 29) series finale. Most of them, anyway.

Creator Vince Gilligan was Stephen Colbert's guest Monday on "The Colbert Report," and after a good amount of talk about the finale and the series as a whole, Colbert signed off for the night.

Gilligan's work, however, was just beginning. After signing off, Colbert went backstage to check on Gilligan, who was chained to a laptop (shades of Jesse in the final episodes) and forced to come up with a way to continue the "Breaking Bad" story. Kudos to Colbert and his writers for coming up with the long, long list of potential story avenues and characters to follow.
