'Breaking In' is out again at FOX

breaking-in-mullally.jpg "Breaking In's" return from the canceled-show graveyard is not shaping up to be a very long one.

The show had been slated to return to the 9:30 p.m. spot on Tuesday nights starting April 24, but that's no longer happening: FOX has pulled the last three episodes of the season from the schedule. The network will air repeats of "New Girl" there instead.

A FOX rep tells Zap2it that the remaining three episodes may air at some point, but scheduling hasn't been worked out yet. ( EW first reported the news of "Breaking In" being pulled.)

The yanking of the episodes certainly doesn't bode well for the show's future. If cancellation follows, "Breaking In" will join the smallish club of shows that have gotten the ax twice. FOX dropped the show after last season, but revived it for a midseason spot this year.

The revival did not bring forth better ratings. The show averaged only 3.3 million viewers and a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 for the five episodes that aired this spring, making it the least-watched of FOX's comedies.
