Britney Spears' one-time home up for auction

britney-spears-house.jpgThe Calabasas, Calif., home that Britney Spears used as a sanctuary from the paparazzi in 2009 is up for auction. The home, which Spears only rented, originally went on the market back in May with a $10.8 million price tag.

But, after months of not selling, the sprawling Chateau Suenos will hit the auction block. The owner, who is asking for an opening bid of $4.5 million, says he isn't in foreclosure -- just eager to unload the property.

"I know that I'll be selling at a loss but I want to move on," owner Jose "Pancho" Leon tells Forbes.

The house features 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a home theater, wine cellar, elevator, guest house, pool and subterranean garage with hydraulic car lifts. Neighbors at the exclusive "The Oaks" enclave include the Kardashians, Lady Gaga and Cameron Diaz.
