Britney Spears has quit "The X Factor," but is it because she's got more exciting plans on the horizon? A new rumor claims that Spears is looking to starting up a residency in Las Vegas in the near future.

"She is very interested in a Vegas residency, and is in serious talks with one of the major casino groups," a source tells E! News. TMZ claims that Spears is looking to have a "'Celine' type show" and that she is in negotiations with the Caesars group properties. If the report is to be believed, the company has "been wooing her for a while."

Spears would be in some very good company if she did decide to head to Vegas. Celine Dion landed close to $100 million a year for her residency, while Bill Maher and Boyz II Men have also revealed recently that they will be setting up shop in Sin City in 2013.

In her statement announcing her departure from "The X Factor," Spears says that watching the contestants perform made her want to head back to the stage. Well, what better place to do that then in Vegas, where she is guaranteed regular performances and also can stay in one place to be with her family?

"Watching [the contestants] all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much. I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most," Spears says in her statement.
