'Brooklyn's Finest': Richard Gere and Ethan Hawke go NYPD

Richard-and-Ethan-320.jpgDirector Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day") scored some of Hollywood's finest to star in his upcoming cop drama, "Brooklyn's Finest."

Golden Globe winner Richard Gere and Oscar nominees Ethan Hawke and Don Cheadle get gritty as NYPD cops who have seen better days, while Wesley Snipes stars as one of Brooklyn's most infamous drug dealers.

The movie takes place over the course of seven days, when the three officers find themselves dealing with the same fatal crime scene in the middle of Brooklyn's drug-ridden 65th Precinct. Check out some of pics from the upcoming cop thriller, shooting its way into theaters on March 5:

Gere takes on the role of burned-out veteran, Eddie Dugan, who's just one week away from his pension and a fishing cabin in Connecticut.

Hawke does a lot of brooding in his role as narcotics officer Sal Procida, who's discovered there's no line he won't cross for his family.

Cheadle, aka Clarence "Tango" Butler, has been undercover so long his loyalties have started to shift from his fellow police officers to his prison buddy, Caz, played by Wesley Snipes.
