If you were a fan of Rebecca on  "Brothers & Sisters", you should be thrilled by this news!  Emily VanCamp may be back on ABC with a new pilot.

VanCamp has just been cast as the lead in the drama series pilot, "Revenge," according to Deadline. She'll be playing Emily, a mysterious woman who returns to the Hamptons to dish out some payback on the people who destroyed her family.

Described as a modern retelling of the novel, "The Count of Monte Cristo," the pilot is written by the creator of CBS' "Swingtown," Mike Kelley, and will be directed by Phillip Noyce ("Salt," "The Bone Collector").

VanCamp left "Brothers & Sisters" this season saying she was in the middle of contract re-negotiations and felt it was a good time to move on. Her character, Rebecca, divorced from Justin ( Dave Annable) and left for New York for a new job.

Fans also knew VanCamp from her role as Amy on The WB drama, "Everwood."

What do you think of her new gig? Are you excited that she may return to our TV sets?
