'Brothers & Sisters' Rob Lowe to guest on Showtime's 'Californication'

brothers-&-sisters-abc-Rob-Lowe-showtime-californication.jpgRob Lowe is definitely making the rounds after his departure from " Brothers & Sisters" this season. Soon, he'll make his debut on NBC's "Parks & Recreation" and now Showtime has nabbed the actor.

The network announced that Lowe will be appearing in its hit comedy series, " Californication."

Lowe plays Eddie Nero, a "charismatic yet self-possessed, award-winning movie star" and he'll be in contention to play Hank (David Duchovny) in the big-screen version of his novel. At of now, Lowe has only signed on for one episode, but the network says his character may recur.

This season will follow the development of the film based on Hank's novels. He and Charlie (Evan Handler) will meet with the issue-laden movie star to size him up for the lead part.

Shooting on Season 4 is already underway with a fall premiere.

Currently, "Brothers & Sisters" fans are on watch for any signs as to how Senator McCallister will exit the Walker drama. Death? Divorce? Career? It all seems possible at this point. The season finale and Lowe's last episode as a lead airs on Sunday, May 16 on ABC.

Do you think Lowe be able to pull of the cinematic version of hedonistic Hank Moody?
