Don't expect to see any exclusive first photos of France's upcoming first baby in Le Monde -- or anywhere else.

First lady and expected mother Carla Bruni has gone on record saying her and President Nicolas Sarkozy's child will not be seen in the press.

"You don't have a child for the gallery," the 43-year-old singer and former model said during an interview with French television network TF1 (via Reuters). "I understand the media interest (but) for children it's not possible. I will do everything to protect this infant and I'll be absolutely rigorous. I will never show photos of this child. I will never expose this child."

And Bruni, who's due some time in the fall, could have to work to keep her child out of the public eye for quite sometime.

Sarkozy is nearing the end of his first five-year term, and most expect he'll announce reelection plans in November.

As for previous reports that the couple is having a boy, Bruni also said in the interview that she doesn't know the gender of the baby.
