'Breaking Bad's' Bryan Cranston: Show ended at 'the proper time'

Cranston accepted the AMC show's second Peabody Award at a ceremony on May 19, and you can see a portion of his speech in this video. A condensed version of the awards luncheon will air on Pivot Sunday (June 1), hosted by NPR's Ira Glass.

The hour-long show also includes interviews with some of the winners. Cranston says he's glad creator Vince Gilligan, AMC and Sony, which produced the series, agreed to let the show end at its peak, "like a proud athlete."

"I was grateful that they all decided to hang 'em up at the proper time," he says. Watch the video below, via The Wrap:
