"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fans will shed tears now that James Marsters (who played the villainous yet endearing vampire Spike) is off the market.

According to People, Marsters, 48, locked down his longtime girlfriend, 25-year-old German student, Patricia Rahman in a civil wedding in Los Angeles. They did a pretty great job of keeping it private as this all went down back on Jan. 14.

The couple got engaged last year. And Marsters has been married previously to Liane Davidson, with whom he has a son, Sullivan.

The actor has also appeared in "Caprica," "Hawaii Five-0," and on The WB's heir apparent network on The CW's "Smallville."

We've decided to use a picture of him as we'd like to remember him: As Spike and single. Well, at least some of us "BTVS" fans are already wearing black.
