bully-twc.jpgAfter a battle with the MPAA over an R rating, Harvey Weinstein is preparing a recut PG-13 version of the documentary "Bully," reports the LA Times.

The controversial Weinstein Company film about how bullying affects teens and their families was initially assigned an R rating from the Motion Picture Association of America, after which producers opted to release the film unrated for its limited release in Los Angeles and New York on Friday (March 30).

The LA Times' sources say the edit would minimize offensive language in the profanity-laced bus scene and would debut April 13, when the movie opens in 25 markets.

However, the Weinstein Company tells a different story.

"At this time, there are no plans to change the film for a PG-13," Weinstein Company marketing head Stephen Bruno says. "We are in constant conversation with the MPAA and hope a compromise can be reached."

Do you think the film should be re-edited?
