Candice Swanepoel: Victoria's Secret model under fire for weight loss, could she lose her contract?

candice-swanepoel-gi.jpgSomeone get Candice Swanepoel a cheeseburger pronto, or the super svelte Victoria's Secret model could be forced to trade in her wings.

Though an unlikely outcome, public outcries over Swanepoel's tiny frame could technically lead to a break in her contract with the lingerie house, according to E! Online. An insider says that according to all Angels' contracts, the 22-year-old is expected to maintain a "healthy and muscular" physique.

"There is a really clear criteria for both Angels and the catalogue," the source says. "The image is about being voluptuous, it's not fat, but it's curvy."

Adding, "If you start to look skinny and 'editorial print-like' like fashion mag models, like undernourished, it gives the image the company doesn't want... she could lose her contract if she gets too thin."

Swanepoel doesn't seem too worried though, as the model tells People that she's in a good place.

"I am healthy and happy," she says. "I'm heartened to know how much everyone cares about me, but in this case, everything is normal and good."

Concerned viewers took notice on Wednesday (Mar. 30) when Swanepoel, modeling a new VS swimsuit, appeared to have lost a significant amount of weight in just a few months. She reportedly credits her weight loss to diet, stress and exercise.

Diet expert Rochelle Sirota weighed in on just how much she thinks the blonde beauty should weigh, telling E! "I would say she has to go up to 125 pounds, she looks about 108 to 110 right now, and she's 5-foot-9 and a half."

The inside source does suggest that Swanepoel will likely remedy the situation before a loss of contract occurs. We just hope truly is, as she says, healthy and happy.
