For those wondering what "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the next "Captain America" will look like, Marvel has delivered the goods. Two new pieces of concept art have been released for each, showing character design for several new additions to the Marvel movie universe.
The pieces from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" both show the film's villain, Winter Soldier. Winter Soldier is the alter ego of Bucky Barnes ( Sebastian Stan), who was believed dead at the end of the first movie. Captain America ( Chris Evans) teams up with S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Natasha Romanoff ( Scarlett Johansson) to fight his former friend.
The first "Guardians of the Galaxy" piece shows much of the team, including Star-Lord ( Chris Pratt), Drax the Destroyer ( Dave Bautista) and Gamora ( Zoe Saldana). The second piece shows a young Peter Quill, who goes on to become Star-Lord, in his first encounter with a space ship.
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is in production now, with a release date of April 4, 2014. "Guardians of the Galaxy" is supposed to begin production later in the year and will be in theaters August 1, 2014.
