carla-gugino-new-girl-gi.jpgSchmidt ( Max Greenfield) is getting a new boss on "New Girl," and as was the case with his previous superior, he'll get romantically entangled with her.

Carla Gugino, who's coming off USA's "Political Animals," will guest-star in three episodes as Schmidt's new boss, Emma, EW reports. Emma at first comes off as demure, but soon enough she and Schmidt become entangled in a "Fifty Shades of "Grey"-like relationship (Fifty Shades of Schmidt?). There are contracts involved.

Gugino will first appear in the season's seventh episode; "New Girl" premieres Sept. 25.
