Caroline Kennedy and fellow jurors acquit man on trial for crack dealing

caroline-kennedy-jury-duty.jpgNot even being the president's daughter can get you out of jury duty, though there's no word on whether Caroline Kennedy tried this approach.

Kennedy, only surviving child of President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, fulfilled her duty as a citizen this month when she served on a jury in New York. The AP reports that Kennedy, who was juror no. 7, and her fellow jury members found Harlem resident Nelson Chatman not guilty of his alleged crime of dealing crack cocaine.

We're a little surprised Kennedy made it onto the jury, since she is a lawyer herself, having graduated in the top 10 percent of her law school class from Columbia Law School in Manhattan.
