When Detective Beckett ( Stana Katic) first found out the identity of the man responsible for her mother's murder -- Senator William Bracken (guest star Jack Coleman) -- there wasn't much she could do about it. Now, however, a dead body seems to indicate that Bracken may have been involved with another murder.

Will he go to jail this time? Videos from the upcoming "Castle" episode, "Recoil," give some clues about that.

The initial stages of the investigation don't seem to go anywhere really. A young woman's body is found burned and lacking all forms of identification. Too bad the murderer missed a dental implant that could, in fact, identify the victim.

Her name, as we learn in the video below, is Melanie Rogers.

The victim apparently was a regular guest at a fancy hotel. It is such a fancy hotel that the concierge cannot divulge the names of guests. All he can do is point out Melanie's companion in the newspaper. And of course he is in the newspaper. Senators like William Bracken often are.

Even if there is a connection, it will be difficult to prove. No one sends a senator to jail without a whole lot of evidence.

Although it's great for the story, the fact that the lead detective on this case desperately wants to bring down Bracken may be problematic. It's definitely a problem for Bracken as soon as he recognizes Ryan ( Seamus Dever) and Esposito ( Jon Huertas).

"Recoil" airs at 10pm on Monday, Feb. 4 on ABC.
