'Castle': Watch the first 11 minutes of 'The Blue Butterfly' 1940s film noir episode

castle-noir.jpgThe "Castle" gang travels back in time on Monday, Feb. 6 for the much-anticipated (by us, at least) film noir episode "The Blue Butterfly," in which the cast members get decked out in their 1940s best for some ultra-fun flashback scenes.

ABC has released the first 11 minutes of the episode ( a new trend, it seems), giving us our first look at the actors' noir personalities in action. There is plenty of slicked-back hair and dapper suits, which is quite frankly not a bad thing ( Nathan Fillion: yum), but we're absolutely obsessed with the ladies' wardrobe. Stana Katic's glamorous hairdo and fur stole steal the show, but Susan Sullivan, Molly Quinn and Tamala Jones are all giving her a run for her money.

It really says something that "Castle" has established its identity enough to have this episode feel completely natural and absolutely within the show's storytelling bounds instead of just a special sweeps ratings stunt. After watching the beginning, we can't wait to see what happens next.

Take a look below, and check back on Monday for a special (spoiler-free) preview of the episode from star Jon Huertas.
