'Catfish: The TV Show' renewed for Season 2 by MTV: More Nev and Max!Add to Favorites | Catfish: The TV Show
The series is about online lovers who have never actually met (or even video-chatted, for the most part) coming face to face. Let's just say that most of the time, someone in the relationship has misrepresented him or herself.
Nev Schulman and filmmaker Max Joseph, who were the faces behind (and in front of) the documentary "Catfish," are the facilitators of the intense meet-ups -- and the sleuths who uncover who these people really are. "'Catfish: The TV Show' has truly captured the zeitgeist of the digital dating age," says Dave Sirulnick, Executive Vice President of MTV Multiplatform. "The show has resonated with our audience by portraying the real life journeys of individuals trying to navigate the highs and lows of online dating - an experience our viewers can relate to. We are thrilled to bring the show back for a second season, and look forward to the fascinating stories that only Nev and Max can uncover."
On the next new episode, which airs Monday, January 7, a young man named Joe believes he's been corresponding with former Miss Teen USA (and "Celebrity Rehab" sex addict) Kari Ann Peniche. Check out the sneak peek below!
