CDC uses 'Game of Thrones' slogan to warn Americans about snow

cdc-game-of-thrones-e-card.jpg"Winter is coming" may mean something different on Westeros than it does here on 21st-century Earth, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are hoping the popular "Game of Thrones" slogan will help Americans prepare for the winter of their own.

The CDC has created an e-card with the famous slogan which encourages Americans to share tips with friends on how to deal with impending snow.

The card advises recipients to store food, water, blankets and snow shovels well in advance of severe winter weather, as well as suggesting the creation of a "Family Communications Plan."

The warning also reminds drivers to keep travel to a minimum and to stay on main roads and keep gas tanks full when traveling.

"Share our 'Game Of Thrones' eCards to help protect the realm from winter weather," the CDC announced on its emergency Twitter account.

Luckily, there was no included warning of White Walkers.
