Chad Ochocinco released from Patriots when he couldn't be traded

chad-ochocinco-johnson-gi.jpgWide receiver Chad Ochocinco is officially unemployed! The "Dancing With the Stars" alum was released from the New England Patriots on Thursday after the organization couldn't manage to trade him, according to TMZ.

After ten years with the Bengals, Ochocinco joined the Patriots last year and had a rather disappointing season, so it's no surprise that they were looking to give him the boot.

As for how Ochocinco is taking it... well, he added "UNEMPLOYED BLACK GUY" to his Twitter bio, so at least he's owning it?

"Thoroughly enjoyed the oppurtunity [SIC] to play for the "Patriot" organization," he tweeted. "Fans were f***ing wicked awesome, I wish all of you the best." He tweeted his daughter, "Daddy is unemployed, u got 2 work now," and she replied with, "I'll take care of you. pay your bills & stuff."

Perhaps this will free Ochocinco up to return to ABC for their new all-star season of "Dancing With the Stars"?

In the meantime, he's got some legal business to take care of -- Ochocinco will legally change his name back to Chad Johnson on July 4.
