'Chaos' pulled from CBS; 'Flashpoint' will return earlier than expected

chaos-review-320.jpgCBS has given its CIA drama "Chaos" the heave-ho after just three weeks on the air. As a result, "Flashpoint" will rejoin the network's schedule a little sooner than originally planned.

"Chaos" drew pretty meager ratings in its three weeks on the air, averaging 6 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. Even by in the lowered-expectations clmate of Friday-night ratings, that wasn't enough to keep it on the air.

CBS will replace the show with a "CSI: NY" rerun at 8 p.m. this Friday (April 22) and a royal wedding special the following week. The fourth season of the Canadian cop drama "Flashpoint" will fill the timeslot starting on May 6.

"Flashpoint" had been slated for a summer run again this year, but it will now get a couple of in-season airings as well.
