Charlie Sheen on Lindsay Lohan mentor role: 'I love her, I respect her'
Charlie Sheen is doing his best to try to save Lindsay Lohan. First he gave her $100,000 to pay her tax bill, then he helped snag her a guest spot on "Anger Management" and now he's determined to be a mentor to the struggling actress.
"I have a kinship with somebody [Lohan] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," Sheen tells TMZ. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."
He continues, "If she listens, she'll win. If she doesn't, that's on her. ... I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film. How ya like me now, America?"
Lohan has been going through her share of troubles recently as her car crash case heads into court. She faces criminal charges for allegedly lying to cops, Her case goes to trial on March 18.
