Fighting with Charlie Sheen always seem to get theatrical. His custody battle with ex-wife Brooke Mueller over their twin sons has gone that direction, now that the "Anger Management" star has quoted "Apocalypse Now" to support his efforts against Mueller and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Although Sheen and Mueller are both under gag orders in the custody case for their sons, Bob and Max, that hasn't stopped Sheen from making statements. When speaking to TMZ.com, Sheen wasted no words in criticizing the DCFS' handling of his case.

"'I am beyond their timid lying morality, therefore I am beyond caring,'" Sheen said of the DCFS. The line comes from "Apocalypse Now," the war movie that starred his father, Martin Sheen.

But Sheen had more than movie quotes. "What my family and I are forced to deal with in the last four years, lives outside the pale of any acceptable conduct or decency. I am battling an amorphous enemy that needs to be swiftly disempowered," Sheen said of his fight with the bureaucratic agency.

As for Brooke Mueller and her lawyers' gag orders: "There is no force, no human, and no scenario in the known universe that will divert my course, my mission in life."

The crux of the custody issue seems to be Mueller's fitness to care for the former couple's two sons. Mueller has had issues with substance abuse, and Sheen's other ex-wife, Denise Richards, has thus landed with the twins for much of the time needed for everything else to work out.
