rose-mcgowan-dad-pulmonary-fibrosis.jpg "Charmed" actress Rose McGowan stopped by "The Queen Latifah Show" on Tuesday (Nov. 12), where she talks about pulmonary fibrosis, which is what her dad died from in 2008 and a cause she's taken up since. Rose is pictured above with her family, father Daniel on the far left.

"When I went to the hospital with my dad [ getting choked up] they just said, 'We're so sorry.' So I'm hoping to testify in front of Congress. There's one company that's developing a drug for it, but it takes a long time. And people who are diagnosed with it don't have a long time.

It used to strike people in their 70s and 80s and now people who are 25 are talking to me on Twitter who have it. ... I want to get the ball rolling on this. ... It has nothing to do with smoking, he was a vegan way before it was popular. He hiked two hours a day, never ate red meat, drank one or two glasses of red wine a night. He was 61 when he was diagnosed and dead by 62."
