Chelsea Handler: 'I would never go to CBS. My mouth? What would they do with me there?'

Chelsea Handler created quite a stir this week when she posted a picture to Instagram of herself holding some papers with the CBS logo on them. The rumors started flying that she would be taking over "The Late Late Show" from Craig Ferguson when his contract expires in June as part of the shift from David Letterman to Stephen Colbert in the 11:30 p.m. time period. Handler's "Chelsea Lately" contract is up at the end of this year and she has said that she will not be renewing it with E!

However, CBS was quick to release a statement saying that her meeting with CBS was with the "general syndication group," not specifically about the 12:30 a.m. time slot. Handler now has addressed the rumors herself on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in the above video.

Handler echoes her manager's sentiments that a broadcast network is really not the place for her. "I was in a meeting about something completely different ... I would never go to CBS. My mouth? What would they do with me there?" wonders Handler. "I would never be on a regular network. I would never do that to my fans or to myself or to the network."

She also says the reason she's not returning to "Chelsea Lately" is that she just feels like it's time to move on, but she's thrilled for Stephen Colbert taking over "Late Show."

Where do you hope Handler ends up, fans?
