Cher visits 'Dancing With the Stars' to see Chaz Bono's 'Rocky' performance

cher-dwts-chaz.jpgIt's not every day you see Cher hanging out in the studio audience of a television competition show, but on Monday night the legendary diva went to CBS Television City in Hollywood to attend the "Dancing With the Stars" taping, cheering on her son, Chaz Bono, from the sidelines.

Predictably, they held Chaz's performance for last so that all the Cher fans wouldn't switch over to "Gossip Girl." Chaz had a tough week last week but squeaked by, and this week, he performed to the theme of "Rocky," which he found inspiring as it represented the underdog story. He was joined by Richard Simmons for the classic boxing movie montage in his pre-pasodoble package.

Cher wept from the audience as Chaz scored three 7s from the judges, to snag a 21/30 -- Chaz's highest score thus far.

Perhaps he was inspired by having his famous mom in the room. "It was amazing to have her support and have her there. My whole family's here. So special," Chaz said after dancing.
