Chick-Fil-A celebrates 'Cow Appreciation Day': Did you get your chick-ON?
Some people would screw up a free lunch. And on July 8, one way to do that was to not dress up like a cow.
Yes, fast food chain Chick-Fil-A, purveyor of fried and grilled chickens, declared it "Cow Appreciation Day." And two ways to show your love for our bovine friends are to celebrate them in black and white garb -- and to not eat them.
Chick-Fil-A handed out free food to any customers dressed like cows, throughout the day, and they even awarded participants on a scale. Cow accessories earned a free entry item, but full on cow costumes were awarded with a full free meal.
