rob-corddry-childrens-hospital-large.jpgThree cult favorite cable series received good renewal news today: Adult Swim ordered up Season 5 of "Childrens Hospital" and Season 3 of procedural spoof "NTSF:SD:SUV," while Cinemax gave the go for Season 3 of action drama "Strike Back."

"Childrens Hospital," starring and created by Rob Corddry, recently won a Special Class Emmy for Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Program. It began as a web series on TheWB.com before moving to Adult Swim in 2010. Malin Akerman, Lake Bell, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel, Ken Marino, Megan Mullally and Henry Winkler also star.

"NTSF:SD:SUV" (which stands for "National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle") stars and was created by Paul Scheer. Kate Mulgrew, Rebecca Romijn and Martin Starr are also in the cast.

"Strike Back" began its run as a U.K. series before Cinemax picked it up. The 10-episode third season renewal is for the Cinemax run which stars Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton, although the show is known for killing off key characters. The network will not confirm which cast members will return in order to avoid spoiling the current batch of episodes. "Strike Back" will return in 2013.
