christian-borle-peter-pan-smee-mr-darling.jpg "Smash" star Christian Borle is bringing his Tony-winning talents to NBC yet again, this time in the network's live production of "Peter Pan" -- as two different characters.

According to Deadline, Borle has almost finalized a deal to take on two separate roles in the musical: Mr. Darling and Smee. Traditionally, the roles of Mr. Darling and Captain Hook are played by the same actor, but Christopher Walken has already been cast as the pirate leader (and Alison Williams as the titular character). Instead, Borle will play his second-in-command.

Interestingly, Borle won a Tony in 2012 for playing the pirate Black Stache in "Peter Pan" prequel "Peter and the Starcatcher" -- he's the pirate who later becomes Captain Hook.

Borle appeared in NBC's 2013's "The Sound of Music Live," and is currently recurring on Showtime's "Masters of Sex."
