Christina Ricci is 'Girlfriend in a Coma'; 'Breaking Bad' alum gets a 'Bloodline'
Christina Ricci, most recently of "Pan Am" and a guest-starring turn on "The Good Wife," has landed the title role in "Girlfriend in a Coma." The show centers on Karen, a woman who awakens from a coma to find out she has a 17-year-old daughter she didn't know she was pregnant with when she went into the coma. [ EW]
"Breaking Bad's" Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut on the AMC drama, has lined up another role. He'll star in "Bloodline," an NBC drama about an orphan who is stuck between two families, one of murderers and one of mercenaries. Banks will play the head of the family of mercenaries. [ TV Line]
"Friday Night Lights" alum Aimee Teegarden has been cast as Emery, the main character in the CW pilot "Oxygen." Teegarden's character is a human high school student who falls in love with one of nine extra terrestrials who are going to her school. [ Deadline]
Gillian Alexy, formerly of "Damages," and Scott Grimes, of "ER," have been cast in the "NCIS" spinoff titled "NCIS: Red." The pilot chronicles the work of a mobile team of agents as they travel the country solving crimes. [ THR]
