'Chuck,' 'Undercovers' and more NBC fall premiere dates

undercovers2-320.jpgNBC has announced its premiere dates for the fall, and like most of its broadcast rivals, it's putting pretty much everything into the week of Sept. 20.

It's going to be one crowded premiere week, as not just NBC but also ABC and FOX have put most of their debuts in the first official week of the 2010-11 season. CBS hasn't announced its premieres yet, but it usually goes with a traditional rollout too. Only The CW is starting early, launching four of its five nights between Sept. 8 and Sept. 14.

NBC's only early debut is its prime-time NFL coverage. The network will have an opening-night game between the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, Sept. 9, and "Sunday Night Football" kicks off Sept. 12 with Dallas at Washington.

"Chuck" will lead off NBC's premieres in its usual 8 p.m. Monday slot on Sept. 20. Newcomers "Undercovers" and "Law & Order: Los Angeles" debut Wednesday, Sept. 22, and the Thursday comedy block starts Sept. 23.
