"Homeland" continued to rake in big Emmy wins with leading lady Claire Danes taking home the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series award. She used her acceptance speech to honor deceased writer Henry Bromell, who won the Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series award earlier in the night.

"I think all actors know how indebted we are to our writers, especially in television," Danes says. "I have to take this moment to acknowledge one of our very most treasured writers, Henry Bromell, who won tonight. He passed away in March and we just love him so much. ... We think of him every day as we continue to work on a show that he helped define. So, Henry."

Danes also thanked costars Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin and Morena Baccarin, as well as the crew who "spend way too much time with me and not with their kids."

"Homeland" Season 3 premieres on Showtime on Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET.
