clay-aiken-stalker-arrested.jpg"American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken had a scary encounter at his home in North Carolina recently. TMZ reports that on April 3, 57-year-old Barbara Saylor got into Aiken's gated community and climbed the fence that surrounds the singer's home.

Sources say the woman was seeing trying to look in Aiken's front windows. A good Samaritan called the police and Saylor was arrested for misdemeanor stalking and misdemeanor first degree trespassing.

In the police documents obtained by TMZ, Aiken says it's not the first time the woman (who is from Seattle) has been at his North Carolina home. He says she previously threw her phone over his fence and then claimed she had been invited to the house by Aiken.

We would imagine Aiken prefers that his "Claymates" enjoy him from a safe distance. Saylor is due in court on Wednesday, April 24.
