CMA Awards 2009: Taylor Swift redeems herself with 'Fifteen'

taylorswift_cma2009_300.jpgWhile attempting to power through "Forever & Always" at the start of the show proved too much for Taylor Swift, she had better results when she took to a stool and a guitar for her second Country Music Award number of the evening: "Fifteen."

Good thing or otherwise her being named Performer of the Year might have been embarrassing for all parties involved.

Surrounded by her singing-along fans, Swift's vocal imperfections come across as endearing rather than cringe-inducing. She won't be able to milk this sort of coffee shoppe singer/songwriter charm for long, so she better make the best of it while she can ... or learn how to go big.

Maybe Carrie Underwood would be willing to give you her a couple of tips.
