CMA Awards 2012: Blake Shelton's 'Over You' speech brings Miranda Lambert to tears
The song, which is performed by Lambert on her album "Four The Record," was written by the couple as a tribute to Shelton's brother Richie, who died at age 24 in a car accident. Blake was just 14 when his brother passed. When he accepted the award, Shelton remembered his father who passed away early this year. "My dad always told me son, you should write a song about your brother," Shelton said. "Tonight, even after he's gone, he's still right."

He found that in her. Shelton has said it would be too difficult for him to record the ballad himself or to perform it on stage, which is why they decided to put it on Lambert's album.
