When you think of "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch, penguins probably aren't the first thing to pop into your head. But that may change now that the actor has attended the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con to promote his upcoming project, "Penguins of Madagascar."

Unfortunately, Cumberbatch is not a penguin. He is instead a wolf who heads an animal spy organization that teams up with the penguins in order to save the world from an evil octopus, Dr. Octavius Brine (voiced by John Malkovitch). Obviously.

As director Simon J. Smith put it during the SDCC press conference, "Basically, the penguins have to save the world. With the man behind Sherlock Holmes helping, how could they fail?

"Penguins of Madagascar" is set for a Thanksgiving 2014 release.
