Comic-Con TV: 'Chuck,' 'V,' 'True Blood' ... and 'Hawaii Five-0'?
Wait a second. "Hawaii Five-0"?
Yes, "Hawaii Five-0." CBS is bringing the remake of its 1970s hit to San Diego in July for a panel, with (obviously) the approval of Comic-Con's organizers. It may seem like an odd fit, but consider the show's geek cred: Executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci also work on "Fringe" and wrote the screenplays for "Star Trek" and the two "Transformers" movies, and the cast includes "Battlestar Galactica's" Grace Park and "Lost" veteran Daniel Dae Kim.
We'd also be willing to bet that the overlap between Comic-Con attendees and fans of "Five-0" lead Alex O'Loughlin's vampire series "Moonlight" is not insubstantial.
Other Comic-Con newbies, per The Live Feed, include "Castle," "Sons of Anarchy" and "White Collar." A number of shows premiering next season will also be there, including ABC's "No Ordinary Family," The CW's "Nikita," NBC's "The Event" and "The Cape" and AMC's zombie series "The Walking Dead."
Comic-Con takes place July 22-25 in San Diego.
