patrice-oneal-getty.jpgComic Patrice O'Neal, who most recently threw and absorbed barbs at the Charlie Sheen roast, is hospitalized after suffering a stroke Oct. 19.

The news broke during an appearance by several of his comic friends including Colin Quinn and Jim Norton on the Opie & Anthony radio show.

Comics and fans sent their well wishes to O'Neal and his family via Twitter.

"Please say a prayer for Patrice O'Neal. He suffered a stroke last week. Thank you," writes Craig Robinson.

Sheen, who endured heavy damage at the hands of O'Neal, tells TMZ O'Neal, "is a gentle giant, a brilliant comedian, and a noble dude...Wishing him nothing but recovery, healing and laughter."

Get well soon big man.
