Vince Gilligan, the man who brought us "Breaking Bad," is heading to "Community."

According to EW.com, Gilligan will make his acting debut on the NBC comedy, playing a "smooth-talking gold digger." The character shows up at Greendale and gets involved in a fight between Abed ( Danny Pudi) and Annie ( Alison Brie).

This now makes three "Breaking Bad" alumni to grace "Community" with their presence. Giancarlo Esposito -- who played Gus Fring on "Breaking Bad" -- has recurred as the illegitimate half brother of Pierce Hawthorne ( Chevy Chase). Jonathan Banks, meanwhile, has booked a recurring role in the upcoming season. The former "Breaking Bad" tough guy will play a professor in 11 episodes.

With the casting of Gilligan, "Community" Season 5 has once again proven that it's the place to be a guest star this year. In addition to Gilligan and Banks, many other big names have been announced. They include Nathan Fillion, Walton Goggins, Katie Leclerc, Robert Patrick, Paget Brewster, Kumail Nanjiani, Ben Folds, John Oliver, Brie Larson and Rob Corddry. Mitchell Hurwitz, the creator of "Arrested Development," is also expected to appear.

"Community" returns for Season 5 on Thursday, Jan. 2.
