"Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan should have some time off now that Walter White has met his end. Instead, the producer will make his acting debut in "Community" Season 5. How did that happen and who will Gilligan play in the comedy?

Here are a few spoilers on that.

Gilligan talked about the role in a larger interview with EW.com and pointed out that the "Community" experience sort of landed in his lap. " Dan [Harmon] wanted to see if I'd be interested in appearing in an episode," Gilligan explained. "There was no way I was going to say no to it. Even though, I have to say, I was nervous as hell."

Most of the details of Gilligan's "Community" role remain a secret, although he will be some sort of gold-digger -- possibly the literal kind -- who gets involved with a fight between Annie and Abed. "My character tends to employ the phrase, 'Yee-haw' a lot," Gilligan hinted.

So it sounds like Gilligan might be playing a version of Yosemite Sam.

Whatever the role, Gilligan's place in Season 5 lands him alongside another "Breaking Bad" alum: Jonathan Banks will recur as Professor Hickey throughout the season.

"Community" Season 5 premieres Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
