'Conan' books Tom Hanks, Jon Hamm for first week

tom-hanks-jon-hamm.jpg Conan O'Brien has booked some big names as guests for the first week of his TBS show, including the man who made the "Coco" nickname stick.

That would be Tom Hanks, who will be a guest on the second episode of "Conan" on Nov. 9. The honors for the late-night show's Nov. 8 premiere go to Seth Rogen and musical guest Jack White, along with the show's First Guest Poll winner ( you can vote here). As of early Thursday afternoon, Jack Nicholson -- who hasn't done a talk-show appearance since the 1970s, according to the poll -- was the leader. Other possibilities include Lady Gaga, reclusive novelist Thomas Pynchon and the pope.

Other first-week guests on "Conan" include "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, "Modern Family's" Julie Bowen, Michael Cera and Jack McBrayer; O'Brien will also have musical guests Soundgarden and Fistful of Mercy.

"Conan" debuts at 11 p.m. ET Nov. 8 on TBS.
