Late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien is about to get animated for a guest-starring spot on an upcoming episode of "Family Guy."

The "Conan" host's episode will air at some point during Season 12, performing the voice for a character based on himself. In the episode, Peter and Quagmire start the antics when scared by a bee. Their screams being in perfect harmony, the two decide to form a singing duo called Griffin and Quagmire. According to EW.com, the men find a certain amount of success at a music festival before bombing on "Conan."

This is hardly O'Brien's first experience in the animated comedy world. Before he gained fame as a late-night host, Conan O'Brien was a writer for "The Simpsons" in 1992 and 1993. His writing credits are for the episodes, "New Kid on the Block," "Marge vs. the Monorail," "Homer Goes to College" and "Treehouse of Horror IV." As a voice actor, O'Brien has appeared as himself before on "The Simpsons" and on "Futurama."

Other guest stars announced for the next season of "Family Guy" include Bill Maher, Michelle Dockery ( "Downton Abbey") and Jeff Daniels ( "The Newsroom").
