Critics' Choice Awards 2011: Natalie Portman thanks Darren Aronofsky for 'getting me fat'

natalie-portman-criticschoice-getty.jpgAs the awards are bound to continue rolling in for Natalie Portman's role in "Black Swan," the actress is thanking director Darren Aronofsky for more than just the film.

"I have to thank you for this incredibly fulfilling experience," she told Aronofsky Friday (Jan. 14) night while accepting her award for Best Actress at the Critics Choice Awards, referring to her involvement with the film.

"You made me very skinny, and now you're indirectly responsible for getting me fat," she continued, gesturing to her baby bump. "You introduced me to my love, Benjamin Millepied, who also choreographed the film and I am so incredible grateful for that most special of gifts."

Portman also acknowledges that she has known the famous director for many years now.

"I met you 10 years ago in a HoJo in Times Square," she recalls. "You were classy then, you're keeping it classy now."

We imagine she may have another acceptance speech to give on Sunday's Golden Globes. Hope she kept some material in reserve.
