'Curb Your Enthusiasm' gets an eighth season

larry-david-curb-320.jpgSay you're Larry David. What do you do after the brilliant "Seinfeld" reunion on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" that closed Season 7?

You decide to make another season, is what.

"After much soul searching -- and by the way, it was nowhere to be found -- I have decided to do another season of 'Curb,'" David says. "I look forward to the end of shooting, when I can once again resume the hunt for my elusive soul. I know it's here somewhere, or perhaps in the rugged mountainous regions of Pakistan."

The eighth season of the series -- which David called a "good possibility" at the PaleyFest in March -- will run for 10 episodes and is set to begin production in Los Angeles and New York over the summer. It's scheduled to premiere sometime next year.

With the announcement of the eighth season, HBO notes that "Curb" will become HBO's longest-running scripted comedy or drama in terms of seasons. (A few other shows, including "Sex and the City" and "Entourage," have produced more episodes.)
